☞ Taking bookings for 2020, 2021 & 2022 ceremonies.
▷ From 24th July NSW Government Gazette: Updated guidelines advise that the maximum number of people who may attend a wedding or a gathering following a wedding service cannot be greater than 150 people subject to the 4 square metre rule.
If the wedding takes place in a place of worship, the number of people attending must not exceed 100 people, subject to the 4 square metre rule.
People attending will be required to provide their name and contact details so that they can be used for contact tracing.
A copy of the COVID-19 Safety Plan for Wedding Ceremonies & Receptions is available below. This will help protect your guests, family, friends and wedding vendors.

▷ Yes you can still get married, Up to 20 guests may attend a wedding, in addition to the couple, the people conducting or assisting in the conduct of the wedding and a photographer and/or videographer. I am still taking bookings for 2020 and 2021 so if you are looking at booking your Celebrant for your wedding or any other ceremony please still get in touch as I am happy to provide further information and answer any questions that you may have.
Much of the preparation work can be completed by email, phone call, Zoom or Skype and I can guide you from there.

▷ The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released Australian marriage statistics in November 2019 for the previous year. They show that “In 2018 there were 119,188 marriages in Australia, up 6,234 (5.5%) compared to 2017, the median age at marriage was 32.4 years for males and 30.5 years for females, 79.7% of males and 81.0% of females married for the first time and four out of five (79.7%) marriages were performed by a civil celebrant”. ▷ On 9 December 2017, the Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Act 2017 will commence. The Act changes the definition of marriage and provides for marriage equality in Australia. The right to marry in Australia will no longer be determined by sex or gender. More information is available on the Marriage equality in Australia page here.

▷ The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released Australian marriage statistics in November 2015 for the previous year. They show that “The number of marriages increased in 2014 by 2,238 (1.9%)”. “Civil celebrants have overseen the majority of marriages since 1999 and the proportion of marriage ceremonies overseen by a civil celebrant increased again to 74.1 per cent of all marriages in 2014”.
